Chiappa Rhino Review

The Chiappa Rhino Revolver comes in a hard plastic case as shown below.  The outside of the case measured about 12.5" x 8.7" x 2.6" and has "Chiappa Firearms" painted on one side.  It also included a sticker containing the serial number of the revolver.  In my case, the serial number is "RH0509".

When you open the case, you see that the Model 60DS 6" Revolver fills the case nicely with little room on each end.  Inside the case was the Rhino Revolver, User's Manual, two cleaning brushes and a sight adjustment tool.

The photo below does a better job of showing the items which were in the case.  The User's Manual appears to be the same for all Rhino Revolvers.  Since most of my manuals typically get stuffed into a drawer somewhere, I don't mind that the Rhino User's Manual is basically copied pages folded down the middle.  The one thing I would have liked for Chiappa to include in their manual was an exploded view of their Rhinos containing the adjustable sights and barrel shroud.

The Rhino Revolver came to me in perfect condition with no blemishes or marks.  The next part of this review will show many detailed photos of the revolver and contains much more information on the features of the Rhino Revolver.

Thoughts

I always enjoy going to the gun store and picking up a new firearm, and picking up the Rhino has to be one of my favorite times.  The Rhino turned many heads of the staff and customers and all wanted to take a close look and feel the Rhino.  Of course, me knowing I will have plenty of time with this revolver, I let them all have their fun while noting their excitement.  My "Out of the Box" impression of the Rhino is extremely positive.  The look and feel were great. I was actually very impressed with how well the Rhino's grip feels in my hand.
